I am proud to be a dentist. It’s a profession that allows me to give back to our community by delivering ideal, patient-centered care and improving each person’s life. I learn all I can about each patient, beyond their clinical concerns. The better I understand their goals, concerns, and lifestyle, the better I can create the right care plan for them. I want to help people develop healthy, lasting smiles, and that starts with listening.
My love for dentistry started when I was three: I knew then, I was going to be a dentist and never wavered in my focus. My mother was a dental assistant and I grew up around the dental office. I loved being there and saw the environment as fun and exciting.
I’ve been practicing here in Mill Creek since 1996 and cannot think of a better place to be. We are extremely lucky to serve such a wonderful community. I still consider myself a relatively young dentist, but there is nothing more enjoyable than watching the growth of our patients over the years. I’m honored to be seeing the children of patients I’ve been caring for since they were children. They’ve grown into amazing adults and I’m happy to still be sharing in their lives. — Dr. Ranjiv Hayre
Dr. Hayre believes his patients at Progressive Dental deserve the perfect care approach for their clinical and personal needs. Each year he completes many hours of continuing education to refresh his knowledge and add new techniques, procedures, equipment, and technology. He enjoys the challenge of staying at the forefront of progressive dentistry.
For the past few years, Dr. Hayre has been involved in a regional CEREC® Study Club. He also attends meetings, lectures, and seminars, learning from the leaders in oral healthcare.
Dr. Hayre was raised in North Seattle, only ten miles from Progressive Dental. He and his family live in Seattle’s Madison Park neighborhood. Dr. Hayre and his wife, Nanette, were married in 1999. They have three amazing children: Quinton, Aidan, and Sophia. The couple’s lives revolve around their children and they couldn’t be more proud of them.
Nanette has a master’s degree in psychology and had a career with Child Protective Services. She currently has the full-time job of managing the family, including Dr. Hayre!
With the children currently between 16, 18, and 20 years old, Dr. Hayre and his wife are constantly shuttling the kids to their many extracurricular activities. When he does have free time, Dr. Hayre is an avid Seattle sports fan. He also loves to get out and go running, as well as spend time on the golf course.
I am proud to be part of the dental profession. It is an ever-changing and fascinating field with tremendous variety. Today we are able to save teeth and replace missing teeth more effectively than even 20 years ago. It’s exciting to re-design someone’s smile and give them the confidence they deserve. It’s just as exciting to relieve a person’s pain and restore them to comfortable chewing.
Dentistry is about caring for a person’s oral and overall health. The entire body is connected, and without good dental health, one cannot be in their best overall health. Likewise, an unhealthy body can leady to an unhealthy mouth. At Progressive Dental, we work with each patient to help them develop a healthy mouth and body. We spend a lot of time teaching and educating patients on proper home dental hygiene, good nutrition, and positive habits.
I truly enjoy the relationships that develop with my patients. As a family-friendly dental office, we care for the children, parents, and grandparents. My patients become my friends, and I like seeing them and their families grow and change. I look forward to each person’s visit as a time to hear what’s been happening with them and strengthen our bond. — Dr. John Skibiel

It is truly an honor and privilege to serve in the dental field. Prior to becoming a dentist in 2019, I spent almost 20 years in some aspect of dentistry, including lead dental assistant, personnel manager and sterilization technician. One of my top priorities, besides providing excellent dental work, is to provide the best possible dental experience for each patient.
I believe that each patient should leave their appointment feeling that they were listened to, cared for, included in the decision-making process, and treated with the utmost respect. I also believe that pursuing a functional and healthy smile should be as pain free as possible. One of my roles as a dentist is to partner with the patient to achieve the best possible oral health care outcomes. They should feel secure that their individualized treatment plan is rooted in sound evidence-based dentistry.
As a child who grew up in extreme poverty, I had poor dental hygiene and was unable to have routine dental visits. My passion for the dental field started as a young adult when I finally was able to get my dental work done. I came into the office with a lot of fear and anxiety but ended up having wonderful experiences that changed the way I thought about dentistry. I was treated with compassion and not judgement. These positive dental experiences led me to immediately seek a career in dentistry. It was through these experiences that I adopted a compassionate patient-focused approach to always treat my patients the way I would want to be treated.
